鈥淗e鈥檚 a great kid,鈥 Socastee Lacrosse coach Matt Fox said. 鈥淗e鈥檚 played hard for us the last four years and he deserves this opportunity to play college lacrosse. Jacob is a good role model. And he鈥檚 our captain this year. A lot of the guys on the team look up to him for all the hard work and time he puts in his game.鈥 聽

鈥淚 feel sad about leaving Socastee and all my friends but at the same time I am glad to get out,鈥 Perito said. 鈥淚 take a lot of pride in what I鈥檝e done here and I鈥檓 really looking forward to playing athletics at the college level.鈥 聽聽
鈥淗e is a very strong defensive player,鈥 Socastee soccer coach Joseph Owen said. 鈥淗e鈥檚 a leader on the field and he鈥檚 the rock in the middle. If you鈥檙e going to try and come through the middle you鈥檙e going to have a hard time. You鈥檒l probably have to go outside because he is an animal in the middle. He always wins midfield headers, balls, scores goals, assists per goals鈥e does it all.鈥
Owen spoke very highly of Perito鈥檚 talents such as possessing great vision in finding an open teammate on the field and putting the ball right on his foot. Overall, he鈥檚 a very strong soccer player and physically strong as well. And he鈥檚 smart in the classroom along with just being a well-rounded nice person.聽
鈥淗e鈥檚 really quiet and doesn鈥檛 get real excited and yell a whole bunch of orders at the other players but rather leads by example,鈥 Owen said. 鈥淗e鈥檚 one of our co-captains and I think he could have played anywhere he wanted to go so we鈥檙e excited about him going to Limestone.鈥澛犅犅 聽聽聽聽聽聽
