听Michael Leo Olmstead
Michael Leo Olmstead, 78, passed away June 7 at his residence with his loving family by his side.听
Born Sept. 18, 1946 in Oneonta, NY, he was the son of the late Dale and Mary Gallager Olmstead.听听
After proudly serving his country in the U.S. Marine Corp, Michael worked as an inspector with the Delaware and Hudson Railroad. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Michael loved to be, 鈥渙ut and about鈥, cruising around town in his pickup truck.听
He loved fishing, hunting, going on cruises, making trips to the casino, playing cards, watching the Yankees and reading. He especially loved coffee time with the boys in New York.听
Michael will be remembered for his quick wit and charm, and for being always ready to lend a hand.听听
In addition to his parents, Mr. Olmstead was predeceased by his brothers, Robert Olmstead, Gerard Olmstead, James Olmstead and Patrick Olmstead.
Mr. Olmstead is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Cesario Olmstead; daughter, Erica K. Salamida (Jason); grandson, Luca Michael Salamida, and many other family and friends who will miss him.
Services will be held at a later date with burial in the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
The family would like to thank Pruitt Hospice, especially Kayla, Mallory and Betsy for the loving care they provided on this journey.听
