James Wesley 鈥淲es鈥 Strickland III
LORIS-Funeral services for James Wesley 鈥淲es鈥 Strickland III, 44, were held July 3 in Hardwick Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jeffrey Graham officiating. Committal services were private.
Mr. Strickland passed away June 28 at his home in Loris.
Born Dec. 8, 1980 in Conway, he was the son of James Wesley Strickland Jr. and Diane Branham.
Wes served his country with courage, honor and distinction in the US Air Force. After his military service, he worked as a branch manager with World Finance Corporation. Wes was a member and Past Master of Anchor and Ark Military Lodge 64, Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Oklahoma, Herman E. Duncan Consistory 359, Ararat Temple 197 and AEAONMS PHA.
In his personal life, he loved the North Carolina Tar Heels and was an avid freshwater fisherman. Above all else, Wes was a beloved family man, devoted husband, father and son.
Survivors, including his parents, are his loving wife of 17 years, Kendra Strickland; children, Brice, Cameron, James Wesley Strickland IV and Kendall; sister, Christy Norris; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Wes was predeceased by his sister, Shelly Tyler.
