One person died and three people were injured in a single-vehicle crash in the Loris area just after midnight Saturday, April 26, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Lance Cpl. Brittany Glover with SCHP said the crash happened around 12:32 a.m. on Cedar Branch Road at Turkey Hollow Road, which is eight miles north of North Myrtle Beach.

A 2008 Honda Accord with four people was traveling north on Cedar Branch Road when it traveled off the right side of the road, struck a ditch then a tree, Glover said.

One person died and the three other passengers were transported to the hospital, Glover said.

The Horry County Coroner's Office said 24-year-old Tysheria Bessent died in the crash. Bessent, who was a passenger, lived in Myrtle Beach.
