Horry County Schools will offer free meals to anyone 18 or younger this summer through the HCS Summer Feeding Program.
The program offers free school lunches during periods of the summer at various schools in the Horry County area. The lunches are free to anyone 18 or younger, and children must be accompanied by an adult. The meals must be eaten on-site.
The lunches will be offered from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Monday through Thursday on the following dates and locations:
June 11 - July 14 (closed July 3)
- Homewood Elementary
- Loris Elementary
- Myrtle Beach Elementary
- Socastee Elementary
June 12 - July 16 (closed July 3)
- Conway Middle
- Forestbrook Middle
- Loris Middle
- Myrtle Beach Middle
- SOAR Academy
- Whittemore Park Middle
June 10 - 26 and July 7 - 17 (closed June 30 – July 4)
- Conway High
- Loris High
- North Myrtle Beach High
- Socastee High
According to the district, HCS has been providing the program for over 20 years.
The district says programs like these provide a vital role in providing children with free and healthy meals during school breaks, helping to combat food insecurity and support growth and development.
